Core Body Strong: Getting Started with Strength

Come learn how to use kettlebells and dumbbells in a fun, functional and engaging way.

If you’ve ever wanted to lift weights and strength train, but don’t know how to get started this is the workshop for you. We’ll go over the basics and learn to: push, pull, carry, hinge and squat with confidence and competency.

You’ll learn how to choose the right amount of weight (not too little, not too much), how to hold and move with weight, and how to build strength to cross train for your favorite activities - be it yoga, aerial or carrying the groceries with ease in one trip. We’ll also discuss safety and alignment and debunk some fitness culture myths surrounding strength training. It doesn’t have to be vein-popping to be effective.

 Build strength. Restore range of motion. Move better. Feel better.
